Day Six Of My New Chicks

The chicks must have tripled in size since the day I got them. They are extremely messy and poop a real lot. Our two cats along with the neighborhood cats all are very curios to see them. I am going t post some pictures of them later on. they each are probably only a couple ounces. If any one knows why they are getting so much poop on their butts please leave a comment.

Day Five Of My New Chicks

I didn't write yesterday(thursday april, 24 2008) because I didn't have the time. The chicks haven't changed much except for getting bigger. Blueberry and B. heads have gotten more dark and fluffier. Their wings have gotten more adult feathers more than when they were chicks who were barely 24hrs. old.

Day Three Of My New Chicks

Today (april 23rd) I took out two of the chicks and put them on my lap on top of a towel. They started yo do this thing where they kind of wrestled by putting their heads under each other. while they were wrestling one of them started pooping so I quickly moved her so she wouldn't poop on me. They are of course very cute still and the same energetic little peepers.

Day Two Of My New Chicks

Right now it is 6:15 april 22nd. The chicks were all sleeping went I went downstairs. They were actually eating their real food instead of the shavings for once. I made up some new names for them so right now I have Peach, Spot, B, Blueberry and Cookie and that is all of them. The only ones that I can tell apart right now are Spot (Because she has a spot on her head), and
peach(because she has the lightest wings).

My new Chickens

Today (april 21,2008) I got 5 new blue cochin chicks. When I got them they were barely 24 hours old. Also, one year ago today I got my other chickens except for my cochin bantams, which I got at the fair. The only names that I have thought up for them are Blueberry,Cookie,Peanut, and Peach.
I think that these girls are going to be prize-winners at the Topsfield fair.
